Why book with Try Istria

01

Direct and local

You deal with the people who plan and run the trips, not with a chain of resellers.

02

One message plans it all

A day on the water, a rented boat, a kayak morning and a place to sleep can be arranged in the same conversation.

03

Clear terms

Times, prices and what is included are written on each page. If anything is unclear, we answer within a day.

Six places worth your time in Istria

A short list for a first visit.

Pula Arena

A Roman amphitheatre from the first century, a few minutes on foot from where our boats leave.

Rovinj

A steep old town crowned by the bell tower of St. Euphemia. We go there by boat.

Cape Kamenjak

The southern tip of the peninsula: rocky coves, clear water and few buildings.

Fažana

A quiet fishing town facing the Brijuni Islands, where the national park boats depart.

Poreč

Home to the Euphrasian Basilica, known for its Byzantine mosaics.

Lim Bay

A long, narrow inlet lined with forest, about 40 minutes north of Pula.

Small things that make the day better

01

Book the sunset tour first

In July and August it is the departure that sells out first.

02

Arrive 30 minutes early

You pick your place on board without rushing.

03

Pack for the sun

Hat, sunscreen and a towel. On the sunset tour, add a light jacket.

04

Park near the Arena

Paid parking, then a short flat walk to the Riva.

Frequently asked questions

How does a booking get confirmed?
Send us the date, the tour and how many of you are coming, by WhatsApp, e-mail or the form. We check availability and reply within 24 hours with the meeting point, the time and what to bring, all in one message.
Can I do the day tour and the sunset tour on the same day?
Yes. The day tour is back on the Riva at 16:30 and the sunset tour leaves at 18:00, so there is time for a shower and a coffee in between. Many guests prefer to split them over two days.
Do you also organise private trips?
Yes. You can rent a boat with or without a skipper, charter a yacht, or book the cave swimming tour as a private trip for your own group.
Which trips go beyond the Brijuni Islands?
The full-day trips to Rovinj and Vrsar or to Venice, the cave swimming tour along the southern cliffs, kayaking around Cape Kamenjak and guided dives near Pula.
In which languages can I write to you?
English, German, Italian or Croatian. Our guides on the Brijuni tours speak several languages too.
How far is the Riva from the old town and the Arena?
It is in the old town itself. The Riva runs along the old town waterfront, and the Arena is a few minutes away on foot, so the boats are easy to reach from any hotel or apartment in the centre.
